Hunt drops a Hynes bomb and Cronulla are on the attack again.

But again, they can’t crack the line. They’re stringing the passes together but the structure just isn’t there.

Rudolf gets caught on the last and it’s a turnover.

Best gets on the outside of Hiroti and dishes a great pass to Marzhew and the big man pulls off an acrobatic finish in the corner!

He’s not known for those sorts of efforts but that was sensational! Newcastle have totally caught the Sharks napping to begin with.

Cogger from touch…..it just swings across the face. Knights lead 10-0.

16′ Sharks denied as Cogger stands tall

Marzhew gets pinged for an obstruction on his own 30 and the Sharks, who have looked very scratchy thus far, will have their first chance at points.

They test the Knights on the left and the right but the Novocastrians hold and when Hunt cleans up Trindall’s kick the Sharks go away empty handed.

On the ensuing set Cogger bangs a sensational 40/20! Now Newcastle can extend their lead.

Kennedy drops the ball as he goes to play it and Newcastle go on the attack early.

A six again gives them more ball and on the last the Sharks get a hand to the ball. The home side will challenge it – looks like it came off Hynes’ knee but I don’t think he’s played at it….but the Bunker rules he has because he’s reaching in with his hands.

Dunno about that, Sharks have lost their challenge and soon thereafter they concede the first try!

Crossland puts a bomb towards the posts and Hunt, who’s playing fullback, flies high to take it and fights through two defenders to score.

Good effort from the young fella, he’s got some serious hops.

NRLW: Sharks sneak home in golden point

We had an absolute cracker in the NRLW earlier today with the Sharks getting home 19-18 in extra time against the Knights.

A Brooke Anderson try in the final minute levelled the scores for Cronulla before Chantay Kiria-Ratu potted the field goal for the win.

One of the best games of the season for sure!

No changes for Cronulla, they’re 1-17 as named on Tuesday.

For the Knights, Jake Arthur has been benched with Phoenix Crossland moving to five-eighth and Jayden Brailey starting at hooker. James Schiller is out of the side with Fletcher Hunt moving to centre and Greg Marzhew coming in on the wing.
