Jonathan Manalo, a songwriter and record producer notable for his contributions to OPM, has been inducted as an official voting member of the Grammy Awards.
Manalo announced his newest milestone on his Instagram account on Friday, August 29, saying being part of the elite music community has been an “incredible honor” for him.

“Milestone Unlocked. I’m so happy to share that I am now officially a voting member of the Recording Academy/GRAMMY Awards. Becoming part of the @RecordingAcademy’s 2025 New Member Class is an incredible honor,” he said.

As a voting member of the Grammys, Manalo “has a voice” in the voting process of the awards-giving body, advocating for better representation in the music scene, and uplift the industry.
“It means joining a global community of creators and professionals who are shaping the future of music and raising the standard of excellence worldwide,” he said.
“As a member, I now have a voice in the GRAMMY Awards process, a platform to advocate for our industry, and an opportunity to stand alongside my peers as we uplift one another and the art form we love,” he further added.

The songwriter-producer said he is looking forward to sharing his “own perspective” with the Recording Academy.
“The strength of the Academy comes from its diversity of genres, experiences, and voices. I’m humbled and excited to contribute my own perspective, and to champion music that connects, inspires, and moves the world,” he said.

As a songwriter and record producer, Manalo is notable for his catchy lyrics and songs that get in touch with the listener’s everyday situations. Some of his most popular compositions include “Tara Tena,” “Para Lang Sa’Yo,” “Kabataang Pinoy,” “Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw,” “Tagpuan,” and “Lagi.”
Earlier this year, NWR Musicals staged “Delia D,” a musical in honor of his music, which ran from April 25 to June 8 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.

He currently serves as the AVP and head of content, creatives, and operations at ABS-CBN Music.
