Sharon Osbourne has made her first social media appearance since the passing of her beloved husband, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, who died on July 22.

The 72-year-old was left heartbroken when the Black Sabbath icon passed away just days after his final live performance in Birmingham with the legendary band. Ozzy, who was 76 at the time of his death, had been battling numerous health issues for years, including Parkinson’s disease. Nearly six weeks after the loss of her husband of 43 years, Sharon returned to social media to pay tribute to her late spouse.

Over the weekend, Ozzy’s social media team, who continue to manage his account posthumously, shared a photo of him performing on stage in his cherished Birmingham.

The caption of the emotional post read, “I don’t wanna say goodbye. When I do, you’ll be alright. After all, I did it all for you.”

In a rare social media gesture, Sharon liked the post from her official account as she continues to mourn her beloved husband and adapt to life without him. The former X-Factor judge is yet to break her silence on her own Instagram account.

Ozzy passed away just days after what was billed as his farewell concert, Back to the Beginning, with his Black Sabbath bandmates in his treasured hometown of Birmingham. He also met fans at a Comic Con event in the days leading up to his death.

The cause of death for the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, was confirmed by his death certificate. It revealed that he died due to an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction (joint causes).

Ozzy’s death certificate also beautifully acknowledged Sharon, stating his occupation as “songwriter, performer and Rock legend. Husband of Sharon Rachel Osbourne, Music Artist Manager.”

Sharon took on the role of Ozzy’s manager in 1979 after Black Sabbath fired him. Around this time, she and the Aston-born legend began their romantic relationship.

In July, the family confirmed Ozzy’s passing with a heartfelt statement: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

Since the passing of the musician, who is celebrated as one of the greatest of his era, his son Jack has spoken up. Last month, Jack took to Instagram, saying, “I haven’t really wanted to post anything since the passing of my father. My heart has hurt too much. I’m gonna keep this short because he certainly hated long rambling speeches.

“He was so many things to so many people, but I was so lucky and blessed to be part of a very small group that got to call him ‘Dad’. My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude. I got 14,501 days with that man, and I know that is such a blessing. I think this quote best describes my father.

“Hunter S. Thompson once said: ‘Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body… but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow! What a ride!’ That was my dad. He lived and he lived his life fully. I love you dad.”

Meanwhile, Ozzy and Sharon’s daughter, Kelly shared, “I’ve sat down to write this a hundred times and still don’t know if the words will ever feel like enough… but from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

“The love, support, and beautiful messages I’ve received from so many of you have truly helped carry me through the hardest moment of my life. Every kind word, every shared memory, every bit of compassion has meant more than I can ever explain.

“Grief is a strange thing – it sneaks up on you in waves. I will not be ok for a while, but knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference. I’m holding on tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind. Thank you for being there. I love you all so much. Kelly #BirminghamForever #OzzyForever.”
