The New England Patriots have officially moved on from Jabrill Peppers.
Peppers will soon do the same, but not before getting a few things off of his chest.
Peppers decided to send a pointed message on social media just days after the relatively shocking decision was made to release him from his contract — bringing up some fairly decent points on X.
“Going on 9 years in this league. I’ve had (seven head coaches and six defensive coordinators) lol,” Peppers said. “There is no scheme you can place me in where I won’t find a way to be effective.”

The Patriots finished training camp with sixth-year veteran Jaylinn Hawkins and fourth-round pick Craig Woodson as their top safeties, with Peppers, Kyle Dugger and Dell Pettus rounding out the depth chart. New England evidently felt the depth at that position could be tapped into in order to open a roster spot, with the former first-round pick serving as the odd man out.

Peppers had $4.32 million guaranteed remaining on his contract for this season — which he will spend elsewhere.
