From an international perspective, the NDIS has become a watchword on the dangers of unintended consequences. The economic cost grows, and yet there also seems to be growing and significant dissatisfaction within the disability community about the scheme.
The policy language has become increasingly violent with terms like “rorting”, “price-gouging” and “red tape” in common use. Everybody seeks someone else to blame for the system’s problems.
