The Brooklyn Nets have had plenty of great players come through the franchise even as the team has navigated from New Jersey to Brooklyn to continue their operations. The NBA offseason is the time of year where many outlets are putting their lists to fill up the time with no basketball, but Bleacher Report put together a massive list that has already made its waves through the internet.

Bleacher Report’s NBA staff recently published its list of the top-100 NBA players of all-time and despite the list being discussed for where former Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant ranked, the focus of this article will be about the Nets. For Brooklyn, there are 10 players on the list, headlined by superstar forward Kevin Durant that once was part of one of the most exciting eras in Nets history.

After Durant, the rest of the Nets on the list as is follows: Kevin Garnett, Julius Erving, Jason Kidd, James Harden, Rick Barry, Paul Pierce, Vince Carter, Kyrie Irving, and Bernard King. What is interesting about the list is that players like Garnett and Harden are most likely going to be known as players of the teams that they spent the most time with as opposed to being associated with the Nets.

For guys like Erving, Kidd, Carter, and King, those players are usually thought of as being Nets before any other team that they spent time with during their careers. Ironically enough, Durant, Irving, and Harden were part of the last great era of Nets basketball that was only able to make it to the second-round of the NBA playoffs despite having three dominant players at the peak of their powers.

Due to the way that the NBA is set up, most of the players on any all-time list are most likely going to be guys who spent time with the Lakers or Boston Celtics, but the Nets have seen some great players put on the uniform since the franchise’s inception. With that being said, Nets fans can rest easy knowing that some of the greatest players in NBA history have played for their favorite team at one point.
