Netflix has secured the broadcast rights to Six King Slam

Netflix has acquired the rights to broadcast the second international tennis tournament, Six King Slam, marking a significant step in the world of sports broadcasting.

The streaming service will become the new home for the competitions that will take place next month for the second Time.

The four-day event will take place in Saudi Arabia, where six of the best tennis players will compete for a large prize pool.

Last year, during the inaugural tournament, Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner, Holger Rune, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal competed.

Italian Sinner won the tournament, earning a prize of £4.5 million after just three matches — the highest payout in tennis history.

Unlike last year, the 2024 tournament will be broadcast on Netflix.

This year, Sinner, Djokovic, and Alcaraz will return to Riyadh, while Rune, Medvedev, and the recently retired Nadal will be replaced.

They will be replaced by Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, and British player Jack Draper.

The exhibition tournament, which will not affect rankings, ensures that all six participants receive £1.1 million just for participating.

This significant reward is the highest in tennis, surpassing the prizes of all four Grand Slam tournaments. Netflix has announced that it will broadcast the international-level matches from October 15 to 18.

The American streaming company has over 300 million subscribers who will be able to enjoy the matches of the Six King Slam.

The Six King Slam tournament draws the attention of tennis fans from around the world due to record prize payouts and participation from top players. This event promises to be one of the highlights of the sports calendar in 2024, especially considering that the broadcasts will take place for the first time on Netflix, which could significantly change the approach to sports broadcasting in the era of streaming services.
