MotoGP, meet Guenther Steiner. Red Bull KTM Tech3 is set to enter a new era as a consortium headed by the motorsport leader will acquire full ownership of the MotoGP team, including Moto3â„¢. The new structure is set to take full effect from 2026.

 

Guenther Steiner has completed his takeover of the Red Bull KTM Tech3 MotoGP team.

The former Haas F1 team boss is leading a consortium to acquire full ownership of the squad, who currently field Maverick Vinales, currently out injured, Enea Bastianini, and Pol Espargaro. 

Steiner is to become CEO of the project, with his partner Richard Coleman serving as Team Principal. 

Current boss Hervé Poncharal will continue to lead the team through the current campaign, before transitioning to a consultancy role. 

The team will continue to compete as Tech3, fielding KTM machinery as per current agreements, and retain their long-standing base in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France.
