The Raukele Cricket Club have showed immense strength in their campaign for the Men’s Premiere division, winning 4 of their last matches since the POM Cricket competition began.

It comes from a strong bond in the side as well as exceptional leadership, from the likes of Junius Ani (Captain) and Travis Vuivagi (Vice Captain).

The recent win they had was over the Pari Cricket club with the young side scoring a commendable 301 runs off their allotted 40 overs, bowling Pari all out for 159 runs in just 24.3 overs.

The two captains lead by example showing amazing skills and patience with the bat, with Ani picking up 63 runs and Vuivagi picking up 61 runs.

Their bowlers also did well with Ronnie Paul picking up 3 wickets, while Siniva Siniva and Christopher Kilapat each picking up 2 wickets.

The Vice Captain of the team, Travis Vuivagi in a statement to Post-Courier Online had this to say, “Hardwork and dedication on and off the field has played a big role in the team’s recent success, and also the teams unwavering energy for trainings has contributed to that as well.”

He also added that he is looking forward to the match today as they face off with their counterparts, Hoods Cricket club.
