The NHL has set Friday, March 6 as the 2025-26 trade deadline date. All trades on that day must be submitted to the league or in the queue for a trade call by 1 p.m. MT.

Unlike last season, the Avalanche will play on deadline day in 6 months. They’re on the road taking on the Dallas Stars at 6 p.m. MT.

Over the last two seasons, Colorado has been one of the busier teams around the trade deadline. This past year, they acquire Ryan Lindgren, Brock Nelson, Charlie Coyle, and Erik Johnson in the days and weeks leading up to the deadline. That came after a busy 2024 deadline where Casey Mittelstadt, Yakov Trenin, Brandon Duhaime, and Sean Walker all were brought in.
