MBGTI Second Round Results



MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Coastal Carolina junior Jack Lee holds a six-stroke lead after 36 holes of competition at the 2025 Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate being played at the Grande Dunes Resort Golf Club, where the Chanticleers are tied for fourth place.
 
Lee carded a 7-under 65 during Sunday’s opening round, which was suspended due to heavy rain and resumed on Monday, and posted a second round 6-under 66. His 13-under 131 is six shots in front of FAU’s Nashawn Tyson, Elon’s Jack Wieler, and Texas State’s Bryce Womack, who each carded a 7-under 137. 

Florida Gulf Coast sits atop the team leaderboard at 16-under 560, two strokes ahead of Texas State (-14), four in front of Florida Atlantic (-12), and five ahead of Coastal and Clemson (-11), who are tied for fourth.

 

The tournament’s final 18 holes are scheduled for Tuesday with a split tee start beginning at 8 a.m. The Chanticleers will play alongside Clemson and Elon with the first wave teeing off hole No. 1 at 8:50 a.m.

 

Lee’s second round included seven birdies and 10 pars on the 7,578-yard course. His first round 65 was a career-low round, as was his 36-hole total of 131.

 

Freshman Lucas Arntsen, playing as an individual, is tied for fifth place at 6-under 138 after a first round 70 and second round 68, sinking three consecutive birdie putts to end the round.

 

Sophomore Drew Sykes shot an opening round 69 and carded a 72 on Monday to claim a share of 14th place at 3-under 141. Senior Max Bengtsson is 2-over and tied for 38th with senior Owen Kim and sophomore Coleman Ferguson tied for 56th at 4-over.

 

The Chanticleers’ other three freshmen also played as individuals. Santiago Schele is 2-over and tied for 38th, and Harrison James and Cameron Roberts are 10-over. Â
