The husband of ex-Astronomer HR chief Kristin Cabot has broken his silence after his wife was caught up in the spotlight during the Coldplay kiss cam scandal.
Cabot, 52, filed for divorce less than a month after she was spotted canoodling her boss, Andy Bryon, 50, at a Coldplay concert in Boston on July 15.
Her then-husband, 61-year-old Andrew Cabot — CEO of Privateer Rum — said their split was already in motion before the incident made headlines.

“Their decision to divorce was already under way prior to that evening,” Andrew’s spokesperson told People, nearly two months after the scandal.
The spokesperson added the pair had “privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert,” and stressed, “No further public comment will be made.”
The divorce was Andrew’s third and Cabot’s second.
The couple did not share children.
Andrew’s ex-wife, Julia Cabot, also confirmed the couple’s marriage was already strained, telling the Daily Mail: “I texted Andrew right after it happened, and he said: ‘Her life is nothing to do with me,’ and said they were separating.”
“He’s saying it has nothing to do with him, even though they were married and shared a house. But then, the only thing he cares about is money.
“I wouldn’t say he’s husband material, but she doesn’t seem like wife material either.”
During the concert, Cabot appeared to realise they were being broadcast on the stadium’s big screen, covering her face with her hands as Bryon ducked out of frame.
“Oh, look at these two. You’re all right. You’re OK. Oh, what? Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin joked.
Byron’s wife allegedly removed his last name from her Facebook profile after the fallout.
Both Cabot and Bryon have since resigned from Astronomer.
