In non-conference play, SMU faces four SEC teams beginning with a visit to Mississippi State Nov. 28 and then Vanderbilt in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Dec. 3. Texas A&M is next in the Hoop Hype XL matchup at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas on Dec. 7 followed by the Compete 4 Cause Classic versus LSU in New Orleans on Dec. 13.

The Mustangs have nine home games before ACC play, including a return game with Butler on Nov. 15. The season opens at Moody Coliseum against Tarleton State on Nov. 3. SMU will host Oklahoma State in an exhibition on Oct. 25.

Head Coach Andy Enfield is entering his second season on the Hilltop with three returning starters and the nation’s fourth-ranked high school recruiting class, which is the best in program history. Last season, the Mustangs went 24-11 overall and earned a No. 1 seed in the NIT. SMU finished 13-7 in the program’s inaugural season in the ACC to tie for fourth, recording a 7-3 road record in league play. The Mustangs also won the Acrisure Holiday Invitational.
