With Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season in the books, ESPN’s Football Power Index has updated its rankings for all 32 teams.
As of this Tuesday, the Baltimore Ravens (7.3 FPI score) are ranked No. 1 despite suffering a 41-40 loss to the Buffalo Bills on “Sunday Night Football.” It took a fourth-quarter collapse for them to end on the wrong side of the scoreboard. That being said, Lamar Jackson proved he’ll once again be in the MVP conversation as long as he’s healthy. In addition to completing 14-of-19 pass attempts for 209 yards with two touchdowns, he had 70 yards and a rushing touchdown on just six carries.

The Philadelphia Eagles (5.2) and Green Bay Packers (4.8) round out the top three for the Football Power Index. Both NFC teams picked up Week 1 victories.
On the flip side, there are a few teams that have negative FPI scores after Week 1. Those teams include the Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins and New York Giants among others.
According to ESPN’s FPI, the Tennessee Titans are ranked No. 32 overall with a -6.5 score.

Titans struggle in season opener.
Unfortunately for the Titans, the Cam Ward era didn’t start off with fireworks. The No. 1 pick from this year’s draft completed 12-of-28 pass attempts for 112 yards in a 20-12 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Although the Titans struggled to move the chains, their defense looked exceptional against the Broncos. They forced two turnovers from Bo Nix. Overall, they gave up 317 total yards on 71 plays.
Another glaring issue for the Titans was their lack of discipline. They were penalized 13 times for 131 yards. That’s not a winning formula.
The Titans will try to bounce back this Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. As of now, it’s hard to believe they’ll win that game.
