Micah Parsons can breathe a sigh of relief. After an offseason filled with drama, turmoil and a historic trade, he has played in his first game with his new team.

Parsons and the Green Bay Packers played well and held strong in Week 1, earning a big divisional win over the Detroit Lions. After the trade was comple, it was revealed that the star edge rusher had been dealing with a minor back injury. Between that and his needing to learn a new playbook, he wasn’t expected to carry a full workload in his debut with Green Bay.

As expected, Parsons didn’t play the full game, but that didn’t stop him from having an impact. He only had one tackle in the game, but it was his first sack with the Packers. After another week with his new franchise, Parsons and Green Bay will welcome Washington to town for Week 2’s edition of “Thursday Night Football.”
