It’s not the first time popular Taiwanese YouTuber Joeman has been invited to Apple Park during the tech giant’s annual big announcement of its new iPhone line-up. But it could be the first time many among his 2.7mil YouTube subscribers are talking about Joeman instead of the new iPhone models.
The 37-year-old, who was at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino ahead of the iPhone 17 launch, is going viral looking like a completely new version of himself.
His fans seem more obsessed with his glow-up than Apple’s shiny new upgrade, and some are even joking that he “changes more than the iPhone ever has”.
When he first started his channel in 2010, he rocked thick black frames and a rounder figure.
Fast forward to 2020, he has lost 15kg through diet and working out.
Now, in 2025, netizens are saying he has hit another level, looking fresher, even sporting a new hairstyle.
One even posted a side-by-side comparison of Joeman’s iPhone 17 Pro video and another of him unveiling the iPhone X from seven years ago.
“Joeman’s transformation is more drastic than Apple’s!” declared the netizen.
“Why can’t the iPhone be more dramatic with its transformation the way Joeman does?” read another comment.
Joeman has previously shared that his transformation was necessary for health reasons, after a doctor warned his blood sugar levels were nearing pre-diabetes.
What began as a medical wake-up call has now turned into, dare we say, better than an iOS update.
