Bulldogs boss Phil Gould told AAP that Crichton will be out for between two to four weeks with a syndesmosis injury, but there was no Lisfranc injury.
Meanwhile, Enari Tuala suffered a fractured tibia and is out for the season, while Viliame Kikau’s suspected fractured eye socket injury is stable meaning he could play against Penrith.

And Toby Sexton “badly bruised clavicular joint” with a scan to hopefully rule out a fracture.
The Bulldogs injury crisis has deepened with playmaker Toby Sexton in danger of missing next weekend’s semi-final blockbuster against the Panthers.
Sexton has reportedly undergone scans for an injured sternum suffered against the Storm on Friday night.
Sexton, who was called into the first grade side after two months in reserve grade, was impressive in a ‘super sub’ role, coming on for the injured Stephen Crichton and scoring a try with his first touch.
It was all in vain though as the Bulldogs were defeated 26-18, setting up a home semi final at Accor Stadium.
The Bulldogs are already likely going to be without three players for the Panthers clash, Crichton (ankle), Enari Tuala (broken leg) and Viliame Kikau (eye socket).
Winger Jethro Rinakama is also under an injury cloud because of an ankle issue.
Crichton is a minor chance of returning if the Bulldogs reach the grand final.
Code Sports have reported that Sexton may need an injection to play next weekend but at this stage, is expected to play.
