Investigators in the shooting of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk have yet to establish a motive for the killing, however the suspect is not cooperating with authorities, Utah Governor Spencer Cox said on Sunday (Monday AEDT).
Robinson has not confessed to investigators, Cox has told reporters.
“He is not co-operating, but all the people around him were cooperating, and I think that’s very important,” the Republican governor told the ABC.
The accused gunman, Tyler Robinson, 22, will be formally charged on Tuesday and remains in custody in Utah.

Kirk, an ally of President Donald Trump and co-founder of the conservative student group Turning Point USA, was killed by a single rifle shot during an outdoor event attended by 3000 people in Utah on Wednesday (Thursday AEDT).
A memorial service for Kirk is set be held on 21 September at State Farm Stadium in Arizona. The venue can seat more than 60,000 people.
