The NRL’s semi-finals and preliminary finals are locked in, with the AFL Grand Final forcing the competition into a unique schedule.
The Raiders will host the Sharks this Saturday night, allowing the winner to face the Storm in a preliminary final on the following Friday night – avoiding the next day’s AFL Grand Final.
But it means the Raiders would cop two six-day breaks in a row heading into a potential prelim.

Meanwhile the Broncos’ home preliminary final will be played on Sunday afternoon, rather than Saturday night (the day of the AFL decider), aginst either the Bulldogs or Panthers.
It will be the first Sunday preliminary final since 2007, but the first time ever the prelims have been separated across Friday and Sunday.
