If I haven’t recorded my workout on my smartwatch, it didn’t happen. I need to be able to analyze my performance each time to know what went well and what I can improve on. One of the best smartwatches can help you stay on top of your fitness goals.

After checking out the recent announcement of three new Apple Watch models, it has reminded me that I don’t need to spend a lot of money for effective fitness tracking and feedback.

My favorite budget smartwatch, the Amazfit Bip 6, is currently available at Amazon U.S. for $69. This is $10 off the usual (already cheap) $79 price.

The Amazfit Bip 6 smartwatch has a 14-day battery life and effectively tracks 140 different workouts and sleep. The data that the watch gathers can be accessed in detail through the companion app, where you can even get feedback on how to improve your workouts to get the best results.

The Zepp Coach feature in the companion app can create training plans for you. So if you are working towards something with your fitness goals, Zepp can set up an effective plan based on your metrics.

My favorite feature on the watch is the sleep tracking. The Bip 6 gives me a breakdown of my quality of sleep based on my heart rate and respiratory rate. This helps with managing activity loads during the day based on readiness scores.

The best thing of all though, is that this watch is super affordable. The latest Apple Watch Ultra 3 will go on sale for $799, which is an eye-watering sum of money. If, like me, you’d like something with a more resonable price tag, the Bip 6 is my top budget recommendation.

You can read more about the watch, including a full analysis of the fitness and health features, in my in-depth Amazfit Bip 6 review.
