Two years ago, Real Madrid won our tenth Spanish Basketball Supercup, our sixth in a row. The team coached by Chus Mateo beat Unicaja 81-88 in the final at the Palacio de Deportes de Murcia. A 6-20 run in the last six minutes gave them a well-deserved victory, in which Campazzo (19 points and 23 in PIR) stood out. The Argentine was named MVP of the tournament for the third time.

Prior to the win against Unicaja, Real Madrid defeated Barça 80-90 in the semi-finals. The Super Cup success kicked off a great season in which they also won la Liga and the Copa del Rey.
