SAN FRANCISCO – Santa Clara men’s tennis players Alexander Watanabe Eriksson and John Kim played in five singles matches to conclude play at the Battle in the Bay Classic over the weekend.  

HOW IT HAPPENED:


Watanabe Eriksson and Kim each won a singles match.  
On Saturday, Watanabe Eriksson was ahead 3-0 in the first set before Cal’s Paris Pouatcha retired.
On Sunday, Kim defeated Filip Soderqvist of Boise State in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.  

NEXT UP:


The Broncos next play the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma starting on Saturday, Sept. 20.
