One of the greatest ever NBL players gets a shot at a EuroLeague MVP as part of a mouth-watering series of games involving two European giants this week.

Greek side Panathinaikos and Serbia’s KK Partizan are down under as part of the Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament.

The two sides will face off in Melbourne on Thursday night, before Bryce Cotton debuts in Adelaide 36ers colours against former NBA All-Rookie first-teamer turned EuroLeague gun Kendrick Nunn and Panathinaikos on Sunday.

Hosts the Sydney Kings face KK Partizan in the other half of a huge double-header also on Sunday.

“You don’t see guys getting five-time MVP,” Nunn told Code Sports, “That’s sick. That’s unreal.”

“I have a huge respect for Bryce …he’s doing a hell of a job here in this league.

“It’ll be an interesting game, seeing an EuroLeague club come here and play an NBL team in their city with their crowd, their atmosphere, it’ll be fun.”

“We appreciate Josh for blessing us with his presence, helping us out at practice today,” Nunn said.

“We didn’t go too hard on him, got to keep him healthy and looking forward to his season so we thank him for helping us out a little bit.”

The games can be seen live on Foxtel and Kayo, via ESPN.
