The five-year deal focuses on advanced computing infrastructure crucial for Aramco’s data centers

Arabian Internet and Telecommunication Co., known as solutions by stc, has signed a five-year framework agreement with Saudi Aramco for a large-scale digital computing infrastructure project. Disclosed on Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul exchange, the agreement covers the provision, installation, and maintenance of advanced digital computing devices and accessories for Aramco’s data centers. The contract value is expected to exceed 5 percent of solutions by stc’s 2024 revenue.

solutions by stc will supply high-performance digital computing servers, install equipment in Aramco’s data centers, and provide ongoing technical support, with financial impact expected from the fourth quarter of 2025.

solutions by stc specializes in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital solutions.

The company operates under Saudi Telecom Company (stc), which holds a 79 percent stake. It has expanded through key contracts and acquisitions, including a SAR157.6 million contract in June 2025 to build a private cloud infrastructure with stc, and a 40 percent acquisition of Devoteam Middle East in early 2024, boosting its digital consulting capabilities aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

Flexible procurement strategy

Additionally, solutions by stc secured a SAR309.7 million contract in late 2024 to enhance internal internet networks and data centers supporting stc’s 5G rollout and broadband services.

Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest integrated energy and chemicals company, continues to invest in digital transformation to improve operational efficiency and sustainability. It relies increasingly on data analytics, AI, and cloud computing technologies. In early 2025, Aramco signed 145 agreements worth approximately $9 billion under its In-Kingdom Total Value Add (iktva) program, aiming to localize supply chains and foster innovation. Its joint ventures with Baker Hughes and DHL demonstrate its focus on integrating advanced technology with energy operations.

The new agreement with solutions by stc involves supplying and maintaining critical digital infrastructure essential for Aramco’s data analytics, exploration, and operational oversight. The flexible purchase order arrangement allows Aramco to procure computing resources as needed. Implementation and deliveries are expected to start soon, with revenue recognition from late 2025.

This partnership highlights Saudi Arabia’s broader digital transformation efforts under Vision 2030, diversifying the economy and advancing a knowledge-based ecosystem. It also underscores the Kingdom’s growing domestic IT capabilities by leveraging homegrown companies like solutions by stc, reducing reliance on foreign vendors, and supporting integrated telecom, cloud, and consulting services in both public and private sectors.
