In a truly epic feat, the Glenelg Football Club returns to Adelaide Oval for its third Grand Final in as many years.

Recently re-signed head coach Darren Reeves’ people-centric coaching style is proving to be a winning formula, with Reeves leading his 25-player squad back to Adelaide Oval this weekend for a blockbuster clash against the Double Blues — a contest shaping up to be one of the great games of our era.

Reeves and his side will take on a determined Sturt outfit, eager to redeem themselves after last year’s straight-sets finals exit and buoyed by their strong minor round performance. The Bays? They’re on the Hunt to make History for the black and gold — a threepeat. Fully aware of the challenge ahead, Reeves and premiership captain Liam McBean have embraced the ‘underdogs’ tag, and they’re ready for the fight.

They’ll be doing it without 200-game, triple-premiership player and premiership captain Max Proud a cornerstone of the Club in every sense. His absence gives the League side an even greater drive. Playing the “Proud style” might just be the key to pushing Glenelg over the finish line. With the superstar backman sidelined, the team understands the size of the shoes they must fill, and they’ve stepped up to meet that challenge.

Through the turbulence of the AFL mid-season draft and injuries to key players like Patrick Parnell, Hugh Stagg, and Corey Lyons, Reeves and his leadership team have kept the Bays focused and resilient — and now, they stand just one win away from greatness.

What makes this weekend even sweeter? A Grand Final double-header. Reserves Head Coach Jared Millington has guided the Bays’ Reserves side to a minor premiership and now into the SANFL Reserves Grand Final. The match is set to showcase some of the Tigers’ most exciting emerging talent.

Don’t miss out the Bays Grand Final Double Header at Adelaide Oval this Sunday September 21. Tickets to the match are available here or can be purchased at the gates.

If you can’t make it to Adelaide Oval, both matches will be livestreamed via SANFL NOW.

The 2025 Hostplus SANFL League Grand Final between Glenelg and Sturt will be LIVE AND FREE on 7 and 7Plus; and LIVE on radio (SEN, TripleM, FiveAA, ABC Radio).

Glenelg Football Club will be hosting the 2025 GFC Grand Final After Party at Stratarama Stadium from 5pm Sunday evening. No matter the result, the Bays are set to celebrate a monumental season. Tickets to the event can be pre-purchased here.
