Trek has released its first-ever dedicated electric gravel bike, the Checkpoint+ SL, which combines the original Checkpoint gravel bike with a motor.
The new bike’s 360Wh battery can provide a range of up to 80km, and a range extender (which sits in the drink cage) can be added to go further. Trek says the TQ HPR60 motor is lightweight, quiet, and has a natural-feeling assist.
With 50mm tyre clearance and the suspension fork (on all sizes except XS), the new model is comfortable on gravel terrain. The geometry that puts users in a more upright riding position also contributes to the comfort, but allows riders greater control on gravel.
