IQM Quantum Computers and Scientek Corporation, a Taiwan-based reseller of scientific instruments, have signed a reseller agreement. The partnership aims to accelerate the commercialization of quantum computing and promote adoption in Taiwan. The agreement follows the installation of IQM Spark, a full-stack superconducting quantum computer, at the Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute (TSRI).

Under the agreement, Scientek will market and sell IQM’s on-premises quantum computers and cloud solutions to universities, research institutions, and enterprises. These systems include IQM Spark, a 5-qubit system, and IQM Radiance, which ranges from 20 to 150 qubits. Scientek has expertise in cryogenics, which is relevant to supporting IQM’s superconducting quantum computers.

The collaboration is positioned to help the local quantum ecosystem grow and to support Taiwan’s goal of becoming a key player in quantum technology by leveraging its semiconductor expertise. Mikko Välimäki, Co-CEO of IQM, commented that the reseller agreement is a step in expanding IQM’s global footprint.
