Garmin has released a new feature: Lifestyle Logging. It was announced alongside the new Venu 4 smartwatch, which is set to launch later in September 2025. However, this new tool appears to be available for all users of the Garmin Connect smartphone app.

The Lifestyle Logging function is designed to help you track your health and wellness. You can select from a wide range of habits, like journaling and using a sauna, and other factors, such as allergy symptoms and breastfeeding, to log. Garmin encourages users to start by selecting just a few. Each day, you can report these activities, as well as whether you consumed alcohol, had healthy or heavier meals, and whether or not you exercised. There is also the ability to track custom behaviours, and you can get notifications to remind you to log your behaviour.

Garmin takes your input and combines it with the health data captured by your linked wearable, such as sleep score and resting heart rate. You should then be able to use Lifestyle Logging to see how your habits or other factors are affecting your overall well-being. Trends can be viewed over various time frames, with reports for one day, seven days, four weeks and twelve weeks.

To start using the Garmin Lifestyle Logging tool, download the latest version of the Garmin Connect app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
