Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale’s Vinny Dingle is set to face a life-changing dilemma next week, as the storyline with his ruthless attacker Mike takes another turn.
Vinny thought he could confide in Mike after they chatted online about his confusion over his sexuality, but Mike turned out to be a con artist and instead attacked Vinny and demanded £10,000 for his silence.

Recent scenes saw Vinny decide to take back some control of his life and report Mike to the police, although it did make him late to his own wedding to Gabby Thomas (who has no idea about his secret).

In scenes set to air next week, Vinny receives a letter asking him to testify in court against Mike.
He’s torn, as by going through with it he’d be able to help other people and hopefully stop it happening to more victims, but it would also mean that Gabby and everyone else would discover his secret.
He feels even more guilty when Gabby shares her excitement about Vinny adopting her son Thomas, as he’s concerned that he could tear the family apart and upset Thomas.
Will he take the risk for the greater good, or continue to suffer in silence and potentially like Mike get away with it?

“Vinny made a brave move when he spoke to the police about his ordeal with Mike,” our Emmerdale source shares. “However, it was a safe space for him, with the interview conducted in private at the police station.
“Speaking out in court is a whole different ball game – especially as Vinny may not be ready to speak publicly about his recent sexuality confusion. What will he decide to do?”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX and YouTube.
