US equities continued to push higher, with the S&P 500 rising to another record and all three major benchmarks closing at record highs, in the final trading session of the week.
The NYSE Fang + Index, a measure of the top 10-traded tech stocks, also reset its record high. Apple surged 3.2 per cent, lifting its market cap above $US3.6 trillion as the latest iteration of its iPhones went on sale.
