9.32pm
Canberra need more than two tries in 10 minutes
Time is ticking for the home side.
Cronulla have been very clever with their kicking game and pinning the Raiders down their own end.
Sharks lead 26-12 after 70 minutes

Sharks score as Raiders face prospect of finals exit
The Canberra crowd has gone silent after watching KL Iro scoop a loose ball on the ground and bag a four-pointer.
There is some concern about an offside from a kick in the air but it’s been given the green light.
The men in green trail by 14 points with 15 minutes remaining.
26-12 to Cronulla.
Straight sets on the cards for Canberra.

Nicolussi: Atkins has been outstanding tonightBy Christian Nicolussi
Grant Atkins has to be seriously in the running to referee the grand final. He has been outstanding tonight.
Listening to the sports ears at the ground, Atkins is clear with his messaging, and like all good players, appears to have plenty of time with what he is doing.

A penalty puts Sharks ahead 20-12
Ill-discipline from Raiders forward Zac Hosking – he is picked up for a high shot on Sharks hooker Blayke Brailey – sees Cronulla have a shot at goal to try and go ahead beyond a converted try.
Hynes’ attempt is successful.

Raiders searching for an equaliser
Will Kennedy is pinned for a high tackle which gives the Raiders a real chance for points.
Starling tries a little run out of dummy half but doesn’t get any pay. Fogarty kicks across field but Jesse Ramien makes no mistake.
Sharks lead 18-12 after 58 minutes

What a try from Billy Burns
Sensational
Zac Hoskings and Jamal Fogarty think they’ve got a tackle on Sharks bench player Billy Burns under control.
To take a phrase from outgoing Herald sports editor Ben Coady, “incorrect!”
Great strength from Burns to get over the line to give Cronulla the lead back. They’re right up for this game and it’ll be fascinating to see what Canberra can muster in the dying stages of this entertaining game.

9.06pm
Tamale has Canberra’s second try as scores level
Ricky Stuart can relax now (a little).
Savelio Tamale has Canberra’s second try. Good ball movement from right to left, with centre Sebastian Kris throwing the last pass. They deserved some points after a number of visits to the Sharks’ 20-metre area.
Fogarty’s conversion from the sideline is a beauty. Scores are level and we have a game on our hands.
12-12 after 48 minutes
9.03pm
Raiders denied a try
Moments after a big line break, Simi Sasagi gets the Raiders their second try of the evening.
Nicho Hynes’ slips off a tackle.
Oh dear. Hang on. Hudson Young is penalised for obstructing a Sharks player. Fair enough. As the decoy, didn’t continue running through the line.
Canberra had the kicking tee out there already. Big moment.
Sharks lead 12-6 after 45 minutes
8.57pm
The second half is upon us
First score after the break will be important as Cronulla take the first set of the second half.
8.45pm
The key stats at half-time
The other thing that sticks out is that the Sharks have completed 16/24 of their sets (66 per cent) compared with the Raiders (84 per cent) but have still edged their nose in front.
