WHEATFIELD, N.Y. — If you’re looking for a job, or want to change careers, the Niagara County Department of Employment and Training is holding its final job fair of the year on Wednesday, September 24 at Oppenheim Park.
The county say there will be approximately 70 companies with open positions that will be participating in the job fair.

“While there have been recent reports that hiring has slowed down, the fact is there are companies across Niagara County continuing to look for new employees,” said Niagara County Legislator Jesse Gooch, Chairman of the Community Service Committee and a small business owner whose company has participated in these events. “For those not currently employed to those looking for something different, our job fair is a chance to see what opportunities are out there that could be the right fit for you.”
The job fair will be held Sept. 24 from noon to 3pm at Oppenheim Park, located at 2713 Niagara Falls Boulevard in Wheatfield.
There is no registration required and you do not need an appointment. The job fair is open to everyone of all skill sets.
“This event is for people of all skill levels. Remember, employers are looking for reliable and dependable candidates and are willing to provide training to those who may lack experience,” Don Jablonksi, Director of Employment and Training “Plus, our WorkSource1 team will be present to provide job seekers with servicers like resume writing and interview prep, to further aid their job search.”
