Matchweek 5 of the 2025/26 Premier League season featured some outstanding individual performances. We’ve picked out eight of the best and want you to vote to determine the Premier League Player of the Matchweek. 

Will you vote for Ryan Gravenberch after his brilliant display in the Merseyside derby? Or how about Nordi Mukiele’s solid performance at the back for Sunderland against Aston Villa?

Jeremy Doku (Arsenal 1-1 Manchester City)

Although Manchester City conceded a stoppage-time equaliser against Arsenal, Doku once again stood out with a lively display on the wing.

The 23-year-old gave the Arsenal defence a difficult time, consistently driving forward with pace and flair. While he did not feature on the scoresheet, Doku’s creativity and direct play consistently tested Mikel Arteta’s back line and offered Pep Guardiola’s side a vital attacking outlet.

Burnley’s goalkeeper delivered an imperious performance, playing a decisive role in the team’s draw against Nottingham Forest.

Dubravka’s seven saves were crucial in helping Scott Parker’s side secure an important point and move up to 16th in the table.

Fernandes marked his 200th Premier League appearance with a landmark goal that helped Man Utd to a much-needed victory at Old Trafford.

The home side’s dominance was underlined by a superb move down the right, with Noussair Mazraoui providing the cross and Patrick Dorgu laying the ball off for Fernandes to finish clinically.

Man Utd captain Fernandes was central to his side’s attacking play throughout, guiding his team-mates with trademark vision and intensity.

Liverpool extended their perfect start to the season with an impressive performance in the Merseyside derby, highlighted by the influence of midfielder Gravenberch.

The Netherlands international opened the scoring with a well-taken volley from a Mohamed Salah cross on the right. Beyond his goal, Gravenberch’s control in midfield also stood out as he dictated Liverpool’s play, and his assist for Hugo Ekitike capped an outstanding individual performance.

Iwobi played a decisive role in Fulham’s second win of the season.

The Nigerian forward struck the equaliser after capitalising on a poorly cleared ball from the Brentford defence, shifting the momentum back in Fulham’s favour. Iwobi’s influence across the pitch and leadership qualities were evident, driving Marco Silva’s side to an important victory that lifted them to eighth place in the Premier League table.

The left-back scored a decisive winner to extend Crystal Palace’s unbeaten run to 17 matches across all competitions, a sequence that stretches back to April.

A regular starter under Oliver Glasner on the left flank, Mitchell impressed with a superb right-footed volley following a poorly attempted clearance by the West Ham defence. The goal was a fitting reward for his assured performance.

Sunderland secured another valuable point at home, with French defender Mukiele underlying their resilience after being reduced to 10 men following Reinildo Mandava‘s red card.

Mukiele provided leadership and composure as he marshalled the back line, making several crucial interventions to deny Villa clear scoring chances. His organisation at the heart of defence was key to Sunderland’s hard-fought result.

The German midfielder has continued to impress since his arrival at Leeds this summer, playing a key role in securing the promoted side’s second victory of the season.

Stach doubled Leeds’ advantage with a sublime free-kick that curled into the top-right corner, leaving Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa with no chance. In addition to his goal, Stach’s energy and influence in midfield were vital to Daniel Farke’s side.
