With a new NHL season on the way, a new opportunity beckons for hockey fans to get a glimpse into the lives of their favourite players.
Amazon Prime Video has released a new trailer for Season 2 of its acclaimed hockey docuseries Faceoff: Inside the NHL, featuring some of the sport’s biggest names and storylines.
After debuting with inside looks of Connor McDavid, Jack Eichel, Quinn Hughes and Jeremy Swayman, the series will now hone in on superstars Brady Tkachuk, Sidney Crosby and William Nylander, among others.

From the inaugural 4 Nations Face-Off to the Panthers’ and Oilers’ rematch in the Stanley Cup Final to Alexander Ovechkin’s Gr8 Chase, over its six episodes, Season 2 is expected to delve into new storylines and get deeper into some of those explored in the first iteration.
Season 2 is set to be released on Oct. 3. Here’s a look at what to expect from each episode:
Episode 1: Brady Tkachuk becomes his own man following his brother’s Stanley Cup victory.
Episode 2: Meredith Gaudreau, the Columbus Blue Jackets and those closest to Johnny Gaudreau navigate the superstar’s sudden passing.
Episode 3: Old guards Sidney Crosby and Anze Kopitar battle Father Time while serving as mentors for the next generation.
Episode 4: Maple Leafs president Brendan Shanahan watches William Nylander blossom into a superstar as the team pushes through the playoffs.
Episode 5: Seth Jarvis stays true to himself and develops into a star as the Hurricanes try to finally get over the playoff hump.
Episode 6: The Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers lock horns in the Stanley Cup Final once again.
