It’s been a pretty positive start to the new Premier League season for Everton and there have been several standout performers for the Toffees.
David Moyes’ team suffered an unfortunate defeat at the weekend as they were beaten 2-1 at Anfield by the Premier League champions Liverpool.
But despite the loss, the Toffees are sitting tenth in the table with two wins, one draw and two defeats from their first five matches.

Iliman Ndiaye is currently sitting fourth in Europe’s top five leagues for most successful take-ons this season.
16 successful take-ons means he is level with Arsenal-linked Nico Williams, just one behind Yamal and two behind Mbappe.
Against Liverpool, the winger completed more dribbles than any other player in a single match this season, with nine.
The 25-year-old has become a crucial player for Everton this season and is helping Moyes’ side to form a real threat in attack.
Following the arrival of Jack Grealish, Ndiaye has switched to playing out on the right side of Everton’s attack, and it’s worked well for him.
In his first five league matches, the forward has two goals and one assist for the Toffees and looks more than capable of beating the nine goals he managed last term.
Everton signed Ndiaye for £20m back in the summer of 2024, and the forward is now hitting the heights the Merseyside club hoped he would.
Iliman Ndiaye completed most ground duels in single Premier League match this season
Ndiaye’s relentless work for the team was also highlighted by the fact that he completed the most ground duels in a single Premier League match this season.
Also away at Liverpool, the attacker managed to win 14 ground duels, which is more than any player has managed this season.
It was quite an eventful evening for Ndiaye, who also managed to set up Idrissa Gueye’s goal, helping Everton get a foothold back into the match at Anfield.
It wasn’t quite to be for Everton in the end against Liverpool, but an encouraging display nonetheless.
