MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Both Wesleyan men’s and women’s tennis teams were honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Wednesday with both Scholar-Athlete awards and All-Academic Team honors.
Making the 2025 ITA Scholar-Athlete list on the men’s side are Harry Collomb ’26, Jex Frankel ’27, Chase Kasday ’26, Tai MacDonald ’26, Max Lustgarten ’25, and Max Litton ’26 while the women’s team saw Alexandra Burnett ’27, Macie Carlos ’27, Lane Durkin ’27, Leila Epstein ’26, Lucinda Gatsiounis ’28, Natalia Leroy ’28, Renna Mohsen-Breen ’25, Jackie Soloveychik ’27, and Sarah Youngberg ’26 earn the distinction.
In 2025, 1,115 Division III male student-athletes and 1,269 female student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete while 135 men’s tennis programs and 165 women’s tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction. To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for the 2023-24 academic year. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above.
