NINE-TIME Formula 1 Grand Prix winner Mark Webber has lent his support to Aussie racing legend John Bowe – in text.
The former Red Bull ace has penned the foreword for Bowe’s upcoming book, ‘Driven’, telling the story of the Tasmanian racing legend’s life on and off the track.
The two caught up recently at the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa.
Webber was cutting his teeth in the Australian Formula Ford Championship aboard a Yellow Pages Van Diemen in 1995, following the V8 touring car circus in the same year Bowe won the Australian Touring Car Championship for Dick Johnson Racing.
The new book, available to pre order here now from the V8 Sleuth Superstore, is arriving in stock before Christmas.
Coming in at 352 pages and written with long-time automotive and motorsport journalist Andrew Maclean, the book tells the full story of Bowe’s Hall of Fame career in his own words.
It’s a brutally honest reflection on his life in motorsport, from the highs of two Bathurst 1000 victories and multiple Australian championships to his battles with depression and off-track turmoil.
