“Nervous as any guy would be for his first game, especially with the route I took to finally get in one.  It was definitely a surreal, surreal moment for sure.  Going shift by shift, I know the first couple I was blacked out and thinking all my God, what’s going on here, looking over and pretty much line matched the whole game against Michkov and Zegras and all those guys.”

The Trenton Golden Hawks grad say it was a special experience.

“It was cool to be a part of it and once the first one went in and the second one went in I was like I guess I was a little more prepared than I think.  Obviously putting in the work in the summer.  After the first couple of shifts the nerves went away and it was just another game.

After graduating from the Quinte Red Devils and the OJHL (Wellington Dukes/Trenton Golden Hawks), Bancroft spent the last three years are Cornell University, playing for the Big Red.
