Talk show is dumped by SKY News after a guest was pulled off air for Islamaphobic comments.
SKY News talk show Freya Fires Up has been axed after a guest was pulled off air following Islamaphobic comments and offensively wearing rashers of bacon on a shirt.
Last week, SKY indicated it would review the show and pre-record it, but last night a rerun of Sunday Agenda ran in its place.
A SKY News spokesperson has told the Sydney Morning Herald a decision has been made to discontinue the show.
Host Freya Leach, 22, will continue as a co-host of The Late Debate.
“We have undertaken a thorough internal review, implemented its recommendations, and taken appropriate action with everyone involved in this incident,” the spokesperson said.
“We took immediate action during the live broadcast to cut off the guest, our host promptly apologised, and we ensured the content was not published or republished to any of our digital platforms.”
