Wilson’s Jin Lin Chen defeated Exeter’s Myah Marturano in the finals to win the No. 1 singles title in the BCIAA Girls Tennis Championships on Monday at Gov. Mifflin High School.

Chen won the match 6-0, 6-1.

In the semifinals earlier in the day, Chen advanced with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Wyomissing’s Peyton Carlson.

Marturano advanced to the finals with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Berks Catholic’s Ariana Plevrakis.

At No. 2 singles, Exeter’s Maira McCartin defeated Wilson’s Brooke Mengel 6-1, 1-6, 11-9 in the finals.

At No. 3 singles, Exeter’s Lily Jordan defeated Wyomissing’s Bella Karchevsky 6-1, 6-4 in the finals.

At No. 4 singles, Exeter’s Gia Makadia defeated Wyomissing’s Eva Karchevsky 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) in the finals.

And at No. 5 singles, Wilson’s Lucy Lamparella beat Wyomissing’s Kiernan Verrechio 6-1, 6-1.

The flight one and two doubles title will be played on Tuesday at Gov. Mifflin.
