It’s the Dally M dress that has everyone talking, and we can’t help but wonder: Has Kelsea Peck taken a cue from Taylor Swift?
The girlfriend of Canberra Raiders’ Hudson Young attended NRL’s night of nights in a silver sparkling gown that feels rather on-theme for this singer’s soon-to-be-release album The Life of a Showgirl.
Peck glittered from every angle in the sheer strapless design, featuring a corset-style bodice and a floor-length skirt with rows of sparkles, as she walked the red carpet at Randwick Racecourse in Sydney.

There’s added movement from two strands hanging down each side of the dress, fixed at the bodice.
The gown is a creation of Sydney-based couturier Velani, who also dressed James Tedesco’s wife Maria Glinellis for the event.
It’s shaping up to be one of the most, if not *the* most, spotlight-catching looks of the night, with plenty of viewers sharing their admiration on social media.

“Omg her dress is gorgeous,” one Instagram comment reads, while another declares, “Speechless! This is insane.”
Sheer dresses have certainly had a moment on the Dally M red carpet.
Sydney Roosters star Jessica Sergis also put her own spin on the trend in a black gown that was mostly see-through, save for some carefully-placed panels.

Lily Pickles wore another different take on the sheer look.
The girlfriend of Dolphins star Herbie Farnworth wore an Oglia-Loro Couture gown in a beige sheer material bedazzled with beadwork in an Art Deco-like geometric design.

Other standout trends on this year’s Dally M red carpet were cut-out gowns and deep chocolate brown, with plenty of dresses in the delicious shade.
St George Illawarra Dragons star Indie Bostock managed to blend all three trends in her outfit.
The athlete’s espresso-hued gown featured a dramatic cutout at the bodice and a sheer skirt.
