Broadcom is narrowing its focus to a smaller group of top performing skilled partners to optimise its VMware Cloud Service Provider (VCSP).
“We continue to optimise our VMware Cloud Service Provider (VCSP) ecosystem and are reducing the number of authorised VCSP partners in most markets effective in Broadcom’s new fiscal year in November,” wrote the vendor’s vice president of partners, managed services, and solutions GTM, VCF division, Ahmar Mohammad.
In a blog post, Mohammad outlined Broadcom’s broader VMware Cloud Foundation ecosystem changes, including subscription licensing and product portfolio streamlining. This is meant to create focused partner enablement that is consistent and fosters a higher-performing VCSP ecosystem.
Some of the changes to Broadcom’s VCSP program were highlighted by partners in mid-July, emphasising the impact on authorised partners and customer transitions.
“This refined approach allows us and our partners to align strategically with customer outcomes and innovation, fostering managed services opportunities that promise greater growth and profitability potential for our retained partners,” Mohammad said.
This means focusing on those who Broadcom feel has demonstrated historical performance, technical and relevant expertise, investment capacity, larger share of opportunity, stronger support and enablement, increased visibility, and strategic alignment.
