Kim Tae-kyun, who became the KBM super middleweight champion with his re-challenge, was selected as the best rookie in September 2025 and made his domestic debut after his career in Thailand, Australia, and Pakistan

The Korea Boxing Commission (KBM) will select the monthly best player and best newcomer from September 2025.

Jang Min-joon (22, Clean Hit Boxing Gym) was the MVP, and Kim Tae-kyun (36, Suwon Taepoong Boxing Gymnasium) was honored with KBM’s first monthly award in the Rookie of the Year category. Jang Min-joon, the best player in September 2025, will receive 1 million won in prize money, and Kim Tae-kyun, the best rookie in September 2025, will receive 500,000 won in prize money.

The ceremony will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Seoul Textile Center Event Hall. On this day, the Eastern Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) lightweight (61.2kg) championship match and the KBM Bantamweight (66.7kg) title match will be held.

Jang Min-joon beat Lee Jong-woo (33, Cheonan BEAT Son Jeong-oh Boxing) by a unanimous decision in the KBM Super Middleweight (76.2 kg) championship match on September 21. The draw on July 20 made up for the disappointment of failing to win the top of the KBM super middle class.

Kim Tae-kyun won a 3-0 decision over Bae Dong-min (29, The New Boxing Club) on Sept. 14. Since 2015, he has continued his overseas activities such as â–² Thailand 6 wins â–² Australia 3 wins, 2 losses â–² Pakistan 1 draw, and made his Korean debut in 3670 days (10 years and 17 days) and 13 games.
