MATCH CENTRE: Roosters vs Broncos teams, scores, videos, updates
Roosters centre Jessica Sergis came up with an epic goal line try-saver to deny Broncos second-rower Lauren Dam from opening the scoring in a frantic start to the decider.
Broncos star Ali Brigginshaw came up with a poor kick that rolled dead with Brisbane hot on attack to allow the Roosters a seven tackle set.
Brigginshaw made amends with a huge bomb that Brydie Parker dropped and Hayley Maddick pounced to score, but replays showed a double knock-on.
The pair also had a head clash with Parker coming off for a HIA, which was deemed category two.
Off the ensuing scrum, star fullback Tamika Upton produced a show and go to slice through and score untouched as the Broncos took the lead.
The Roosters had a chance to hit back after Jocelyn Kelleher forced a line dropout, but the Broncos defence held firm as Aliyah Nasio was bundled into touch.
Jada Ferguson was demoted to the bench but made up for lost time to dive over from dummyhalf and extend the Broncos lead.

MATCH PREVIEW
The Sydney Roosters are chasing back-to-back premierships — and their third overall — when they take on the Brisbane Broncos in the 2025 NRLW Grand Final at 4pm, at Accor Stadium.
For the Roosters Mia Wood comes off the bench to start on the wing after Taina Navidi was ruled out, with Jayde Herdegen joining the bench.
For the Broncos Destiny Brill starts at hooker with Jada Ferguson dropping to the bench.
The Roosters go into this clash undefeated this season, in fact they haven’t lost a game since Round 5, in August last year.
While littered with starpower, their journey to this year’s grand final hasn’t come without adversity given they lost Queensland Origin and Jillaroos playmaker Tarryn Aiken to an ACL injury in the final round of the regular season.
And more recently, they’ve lost try-scoring machine Taina Navidi to an injury suffered at captain’s run. That’s sparked a reshuffle with the versatile Mia Wood being elevated to the wing and Amber Hall joining the bench.
However, the Roosters are still boasting plenty of x-factor between powerhouse centres Isabelle Kelly, Jess Sergis and 2024 Dally M medallist Olivia Kernick.
Leading the Broncos is reigning Dally M medallist Tamika Upton, who was crowned NRLW Player of the Year for the second time earlier this week.
Julia Robinson, who finished second in the count, lines up at centre, while veteran Ali Brigginshaw will steer the ship at halfback alongside Five-eighth of the Year Gayle Broughton.
Second-rower of the Year Romy Teitzel also features in the line-up as well as NRLW Rookie of the Year Shalom Sauasu.
The Broncos hold the most premierships in NRLW history after winning the first three seasons’ (2018-202), however they have not played in a grand final since that three-peat.
