The American League will have the stage to itself on Day 2 of Division Series play, with the NL getting Sunday off. 

Home teams split Saturday’s openers, with the Brewers and Blue Jays taking care of business and the Dodgers and Tigers rallying for wins on the road. 

 

 

The Yankees will try to bounce back from a 10-1 Game 1 pounding at Rogers Centre with veteran Max Fried (19-5, 2.86 ERA) on the mound, while Toronto gives the ball to 22-year-old Trey Yesavage for his fourth MLB start.  

In Seattle, the Mariners won’t be pleased to follow Saturday night’s 11th-inning loss by having to face Tarik Skubal.
