Australian women having a heart attack are less likely to be promptly diagnosed and treated compared to men, although the gender gap in cardiac care is narrowing.
A new study, led by researchers at the University of Sydney and published in the Medical Journal of Australia, analysed hospital records and heart attack outcomes in almost 30,000 people in NSW over nine years.
