The ARLC and the Prime Minister Anthony Albanese have named the Australian men’s and women’s Prime Minister’s XIII squads ahead of their clashes against PNG’s own PM’s XIII.

Both games will take place on October 12, with Albanese selecting Keaon Koloamatangi to captain the side after a stellar individual campaign with the Rabbitohs.

His club teammates Jye Gray and Tallis Duncan have also been named, while a host of players have been rewarded for their own impressive seasons.

Panthers trio Liam Henry, Matt Eisenhuth and Brad Schneider will take part, while Knights young gun Fletcher Hunt and Dragons halfback Kyle Flanagan have been named.

Meanwhile, the Raiders trio of Ethan Strange, Corey Horsburgh and Tom Starling have all been included in the team who are set to be coached by Kevin Walters.

“The squad has a really strong mix of experienced representative players and some of the best young talent that we saw showcased in the NRL this season,” Walters said in a statement.

There is a lot of strike across the park with the likes of Ethan Strange, Jye Gray, Bradman Best and Jason Saab and some real power and mobility upfront, led by Keaon Koloamatangi who is getting the opportunity to captain the side.

“I’m excited to get to work with the team this week and put on a great display in Port Moresby on Sunday.”

Meanwhile, Jess Skinner will coach the women’s team which will be captained by Quincy Dodd, who will lead a star-studded side which includes Titans flyer Jamie Chapman and Eels star Abbi Church.

“We have some players in this squad that have experienced this fixture previously and having them back in the team will be invaluable for some of the exciting young talent we’ve selected to get a taste of international rugby league,” Skinner said.

“The players that are involved in this game will have the opportunity of a lifetime coming together to play and experience a country that has a passion for Rugby League like no other.

“For the young players we have, it’s a chance to put their hand up for Jillaroos honours and I know that they are going to bring a lot of energy and excitement to this contest.”
