GIANTS star Alyce Parker has penned a new deal with the club.

The GIANTS are delighted to announce that star midfielder Alyce Parker has signed a new two-year contract extension.

The new deal will see the dual All Australian and four-time club champion remain in orange and charcoal until at least the end of the 2027 NAB AFLW season.

One of the competition’s premier midfielders, Parker first burst onto the scene in 2019 after being taken by the club with pick 12 in the 2018 AFLW Draft.

A country girl hailing from Holbrook in Southern NSW, Parker put the footy world on notice with an AFLW Rising Star nomination in her very first game back in 2019 and has been a driving force for the GIANTS ever since.

Claiming the club’s Rising Star Award for her brilliant 2019 debut season, Parker quickly rose to become one of the game’s elite while creating club history in 2021 as the GIANTS’ first ever dual All Australian and two-time winner of the Gabrielle Trainor Medal by the age of just 21.

Parker continued the incredible start to her career and created more club history in 2022 when she remarkably won her fourth straight Gabrielle Trainor Medal after another standout season.

Parker has continued to star over the past two seasons, finishing runner-up in the Gabrielle Trainor Medal in 2023 despite missing the final three games of the season, before celebrating her 50th AFLW game in another strong campaign in 2024.

Possessing a raking left boot and an immense appetite for the contest, Parker has firmly cemented herself as not only one of the league’s best clearances players but one of its best inside midfielders.

Also a key component of the club’s leadership group, the 25-year-old continues to lead by example both on-and-off the field and will continue to do so for at least two more years.

Parker’s exciting new deal comes as she continues her rehab from the toughest setback of her career to date, with the gun midfielder fracturing her foot in the opening round of the season which ruled her out for the remainder of the 2025 campaign.

Currently six weeks post-surgery, Parker is progressing well in her rehab and is more eager than ever to return to her best in 2026.

GIANTS Executive General Manager of AFLW, Alison Zell, said it was fantastic to have Parker extend for another two years.

“Alyce has been both an exceptional player and person for our club ever since she was drafted back in 2018 and we’re thrilled that she’ll remain a GIANT for another two years,” she said.

“Her record speaks for itself as a four-time club champion and a dual All Australian and at just 25 years of age it’s exciting to know that her best football is still ahead of her.

“While it was devastating for us all to see her go down with injury to start the season, we know that her character and her desire to get the absolute best out of herself will see her come back bigger and better in 2026 and we can’t wait to see her pull on the orange and charcoal again next season.

“Alyce is all in and has continued to play a vital role in helping our midfield group from the sidelines and we can’t wait to see her back out there next season with her teammates.”

The GIANTS will take on the Cats at GMHBA this Saturday as part of the round nine action.
