Shy of its first anniversary, Rode has refreshed the Wireless Micro by announcing the microphone system in three new colors. Buyers can also buy the Wireless Micro at a much cheaper price than it cost at launch.

Last year, Rode launched the Wireless Micro as a microphone system for smartphones. When it launched, it was available to buy in black and white color options. Now, Rode has released the Wireless Micro in three new colors. It has also permanently reduced the price.

The Rode Wireless Micro can now be purchased in bold red, cool blue, and a McLaren-like bright orange hue. All three colors come with a matching charging case and furry windshield. However, unlike the black and white which are available to buy in either USB-C or Lightning options, the new colors are only available with a USB-C connector for the receiver.

Save for the new colors, the features remain the same. The Rode Wireless Micro is compatible with Android and iPhone. It automatically pairs to your device and you can begin recording right away. You can also choose to use the microphones without the receiver as they can pair via Bluetooth to your device via the Rode Capture app (exclusive to iOS devices).

It has also been reported that the Rode Wireless Micro has received a price cut. It is now available for $99, a significant cut from the $149.99 launch price. You can even pick up the white version for $97 on Amazon.
