Saint Francis University women’s basketball head coach Chynna Bozeman has completed her coaching staff for the 2025-26 season with the addition of Shaun Jones as an assistant coach.
“We’re excited to welcome Coach Shaun to our staff,” said Bozeman. “Coach Shaun brings a wealth of knowledge, versatility, and experience that will elevate our program on and off the court. Her team-first mindset and passion for the game make her an incredible addition to the Red Flash family.”
Jones comes to Loretto after serving as an assistant girls’ varsity head coach under Raphael McNeill, who also joined Bozeman’s staff in 2025-26, at Riverdale Baptist High School last season. She also had a six-year run as the assistant junior varsity/varsity coach at Suitland High School from 2017 to 2023.Â
“I am grateful to join the Saint Francis University women’s basketball program and to contribute to a tradition of excellence both on and off the court,” said Jones. “I am eager to help our student-athletes grow as players, students, and young women. I want to thank Coach Chynna for this amazing opportunity! This is a special opportunity to work alongside a passionate staff and a driven group of young women who represent the values of teamwork, discipline, and commitment!”
Jones has also served as a camp director at the Nike Basketball Camp in Bowie, Md., since 2023, and as a coach at the camp since 2017. Additionally, she served as the Safe Summer Basketball League Director for the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission from 2017 to 2019 and as a camp director for the organization from 2017 to 2021. Jones worked men’s basketball summer camps at Stanford (2023) and Marquette (2022).
Jones got her start in coaching as a women’s basketball student assistant for the 2016-17 season.
Jones earned her bachelor’s degree in sports management from Bowie State University in 2021.Â
